Carol Miethke, violin and viola My background includes 30 years of professional performance as an orchestra and chamber ensemble musician, and having studied with exceptionally wonderful, prominent teachers, I find joy in working with and sharing my experience with students. I have been impressed that the arts are a powerful influence in a meaningful and creative approach to life. I have taught students of all levels and ages for over 25 years, and my focus is on a balanced study of repertoire, musicianship skills and the excitement and motivation of pursuing goals through performance and assessments. My background studies include Martha Strongin Katz of The New England Conservatory and Heidi Castleman of The Julliard School of Music. I earned the Bachelor of Music in performance and am an active teacher with The Royal Conservatory of Music program which includes a stepwise series of quality exam experience and is acknowledged throughout the world.
Location: My studio is located in Roseville, California Resource Library: I provide an extensive library of resources easily accessed through my website, available specifically for students pursuing music exams or rounding out their music studies. Virtual Lessons Available: While remote lessons may seem counterintuitive, private online music lessons offer many advantages. Among these, lessons are able to be recorded to provide review between lessons. Parents enjoy less stress in scheduling, time involved to travel to/from lessons and are able to easily listen in or participate during lesson time in the home environment. A hybrid schedule of mixing virtual with in-person lessons is also available. Sacramento and Placer County Activities: Students in the local area are encouraged to perform in studio recitals, and many of my students have participated in the Placer County Youth Orchestra (touring Europe 2024 summer), the Sacramento Youth Symphony, or have enjoyed participating in various area-wide recitals and competitions. Beginners Information: Students and families interested in starting lessons for their children are encouraged to contact me before setting up a trial lesson. I will be happy and prompt in assisting you with all your beginning needs, including, most of all, acquiring your instrument. Contact Me: You may send to me a message by using the form on this page.
